Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) has returned with its thrilling experiential drive event in Karachi last weekend and the good news is that the company will conduct the same activity in different cities for everyone interested in driving a Toyota Fortuner and a Revo.
According to the details, the event was held on 21st and 22nd September 2019 at Dolmen Mall, Clifton, Karachi in which the automaker displayed the off-road capabilities of its Toyota Fortuner and Toyota Hilux Revo. The vehicles used in the activity were powered by a 2.8-liter diesel engine coupled with a 6-speed automatic sequential transmission. A test-drive is always the key component towards the success of a vehicle in the market. The auto manufacturer transfers its trust in the product to the customers by letting them experience it on their own. Many people signed up to participate in this event in Karachi.
The track used for this purpose was built with different types of hurdles to test several useful off-road features of the Toyota Fortuner and Toyota Hilux Revo. The terrains used in this track to showcase the extraordinary performance of the compact and ultra-efficient 1 GD engine, rigid build quality and off-road adventure capabilities of the Fortuner and Revo included the following:
- Rumble steps
- Side-incline
- Uphill & Downhill

The vehicles were rolled out on all the above-mentioned courses and as expected, they performed splendidly. The mighty Fortuner and Revo have several useful features that help in off-road driving. All these features particularly Hill Start Assist Control, Downhill Assist Control, Traction Control, Vehicle Stability Control, Emergency Brake Control, etc. were tested successfully by the customers.
The special aspect of Toyota Experiential Drive is the access to experience all types of terrains in a single adventurous drive which is generally not possible in daily routine life. The powerful engine of Fortuner and Revo used minimal effort while climbing the slopes and performed effortlessly through all the obstacles.
The event kicked off with a briefing on safety instructions to the participants of this adventurous test-drive. The Hill Start Assist Control (HAC) helped Fortuner and Revo to climb the ramp quite easily. By engaging the Down Hill Assist Control feature (DAC), the vehicle’s speed and braking, both are completely controlled by its built-in system which adjusts it accordingly and supports the driver in steering the vehicle through the declining slope. The drive turned out to be smooth through all types of obstacles on the track. The Traction Control (TRC) feature was very supportive in preventing the wheels from slipping or spinning while driving the vehicles through rumble steps and side incline. The side incline is the toughest experience of all which helps in determining the stability of the vehicle on the road. The Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) feature played a vital role in preventing the side skids and help in balancing the vehicle. The 4×4 Fortuner and Revo were quite efficient in keeping their stability which also goes on to show that the vehicles have a low center of gravity. Nonetheless, it was a joyful experience for the participants and the public of Karachi.
All these activities will soon be carried out in different cities of Pakistan as well. It’s a wonderful event which allows the customers to experience the thrill and all the advanced safety and luxury features by themselves.
