Suzuki GSX 125 used to be priced at Rs. 384,000. But after an increase in the price of Rs. 38,000, the bike now costs Rs. 422,000.

Lastly, Suzuki GR150 had an old price of Rs. 410,000. After a price increase of Rs. 41,000, the GR 150 now costs Rs. 451,000.

A day prior, Pak Suzuki had announced a second price hike in their car prices within two weeks. The company has not only increased car prices by a huge margin but has also announced to shut down operations in February.

This month, Pak Suzuki has announced that it would shut down operations again from February 13, 2023, to February 17, 2023. The reason for this break is the same as that cited every time the company halts production – shortage of inventory due to the restrictions imposed by the State Bank of Pakistan.

This production shutdown is limited only to the cars section of the company. Pak Suzuki made it clear that the bike production unit will stay operational and will not be shut down. In case of a change of plans, the company will communicate the news accordingly.

These price hikes, accompanied by non-operational days, might decrease the company’s sales this year.

People here line up for a cup of coffee in a posh area of Lahore and spend exorbitant amount for the sake of looking modern and stylish. Do you think they actually care what the price of a Motorcycle is these days.
In the streets you will still see less than 18yo riding motorbikes and their parents are like “Oh look at my stylish child”. If you inquire them they will say “aap te gadi challanda ha te sano khanda ha ke motorcycle kyun challanda ha suda puttar”. So for them it really does not matter. They will buy it even if they have to take a loan from their in laws by beating the wife etc.
