Today, we are with an owners’ review of Kawasaki GTO 125. During this review, we discussed the price, model, power, and other salient features of the bike with its owner.

Price and Restoration

The owner bought this 1987-model bike almost a year ago in Rs. 70,000. “After buying it, I completely restored it, and it cost me Rs. 200,000,” he said, adding that he does not regret spending this much money on a bike.

“I know there are other bikes in this price range, but I love this bike and, as they say, Shoq Da Koi Mull Nae,” he told us.

Drive Experience

As per the owner, there is a “feel in this bike” as people notice this bike when I ride it, and it feels good. “However, this is not our regular ride as we use it on special occasions,” he said. The owner has taken the bike on a long route, and it was a great experience for him.

Fuel Average

As per the owner, it all depends on your riding style. “If you drive it at normal speed, then its fuel average is around 35-37 km/liter and if you ride it on speed, the average drops to around 25km/liter,” the owner said.

Handling

The owner believes it is hard to handle this bike at high speed. “However, it is easy to handle at normal speed,” he added.

Spare Parts Availability

As per the owner, it is hard to find its spare parts because not many people own this machine. “It can be easy if you have some links otherwise, you have to import them,” the owner said. However, he said they have a group of Kawasaki bike owners, and we share, what we need, and it is helpful.

Top Speed and Braking

The bike has a top speed of 160km/hour; however, the owner said that not everyone could handle the bike at that speed. “The bike has a front disc brake and rear drum brake, which helps the bike to control, within seconds,” he said, adding that wrong use of this brake can cause a serious accident.

Restoration a Good Idea?

As per the owner, restoration is a painstaking process, and not everyone can do it. “You need links, a lot of time, and serious dedication to complete the process,” the owner said.

Resale

The owner said Kawasaki GTO 125 has a particular fanbase; its resale is very limited. “The people who know about bikes understands the importance of Kawasaki, and only those guys will buy such bike,” the owner said.
