Pakistani market is plagued with the rumors of Honda being an expensive brand. However, with Honda City, the brand has challenged the sedan market with affordability, comfort, and attractive features.

Today’s review features the Honda City car and its owner, Usman, who seemed quite satisfied with his purchase. Let’s find out more about it below.

Make, Model, and Variant

In light is the Honda City 1.2L Manual Transmission. Usman bought this car in 2022 with a 5-speed forward shifting system.

Purchase Decision

Usman had a Honda City previously from 2015. While searching for a sedan, he checked other options, including the Toyota Yaris and Changan Alsvin. However, he was not attracted by the design of the Yaris and the inner space of Alsvin, which made him choose Honda City again.

Honda City 1.2 Price in Pakistan

Back in 2022, he got this car for 3,250,000 in PKR. But the rates have quite changed from the previous year due to extreme inflation and import duties.

Interior

The Honda City 1.2 has a modern dashboard, impressive speedometer, retractable mirrors, two rear charging ports, and abundant legroom, which is quite upgraded from the previous version. Its comfort level is also double that of the older model.

Exterior

There hasn’t been much change in exterior design. However, suspension and ground clearance are tweaked according to the Pakistani roads, along with an upgrade in the front grille.

Safety nuggets

The Honda City has included 2 Airbags in the new model, along with ABS and speed-sensing door locks.

Missing features

The Honda brand has kept the old-school General tires of 175, which decreases the overall look. Moreover, the basic infotainment system misses the appeal, and rear AC vents could have been an added feature.

Maintenance and Spare Parts

Honda dealers are providing major spare parts on request. However, basic spare parts are short these days due to import issues. Maintenance has been quite expensive as the owner recently underwent an oil change for 8000 PKR.
