The company’s notification read:
“In continuation of the Company’s earlier announcement dated February 24, 2023, we are pleased to inform you that the company has resumed its production operation of car plan (Four Wheeler Plant) w.e.f. from today.”
It is related to mention that the local car assemblers in the country are announcing non-production days. And the reason for these moves is inadequate inventory in the face of curbs inflicted on CKD (Completely Knocked-down) kits, leading the companies to suspend the production of their vehicles for weeks.
Moreover, the ongoing economic meltdown will further hurt the already dwindling car sales for coming months. And again, the reason is rapidly depleting foreign exchange reserves and shortage of essential items.
