You will have to visit a nearby Excise & Taxation office and inform them about the missing or lost documents. Make sure you bring the actual owner along. After necessary verification they will advise you of the following:
- File a police report regarding the missing documents
- Publish an ad in reputed newspapers regarding the missing or lost documents
The Excise & Taxation department keeps a digitally scanned copy of the file (Form F, Sales Invoice & Certificate, CNIC, Checklist, etc.).
The excise & taxation department started scanning files since they started returning the original files to the owners.
