Based on the current cost, I've calculated the following estimated maintenance costs for Honda Reborn for a daily 58 km drive.
Every 5,000 Km (fluids, oil and air filter) - about every six months = about Rs. 13,000
Every 40,000 Km (radiator, battery, car tyres) - about 2 years = Rs. .7,000
Every 100,000 Km (coolant, spark plug, fuel injector service, fuel strainer, etc.) = Rs. 40,000 including labor.
Emergency expenses (owners say about 40,000 to 100,000 km; every 3-5 years; Mount, Tensioner, Engine seals, gasket, Starter Motor, A/C, Oxygen Sensor, Disk pad) - Rs. 130,000
A total of about Rs. 220,000 in five years; or Rs. 44,000 per year.
Translation: Honda sedan is a cheaper car to maintain than a Suzuki sedan car - Margalla (my own experience) and Liana (My boss's experience).
In perspective, my old Suzuki Margalla's and my boss's Suzuki Liana's yearly maintenance expenses were almost the same i.e. 30 k per year and average of 9-11 kmpl, but a whole less comfort.
