Toys of Rich – Jaguar I-Pace EV400 – Owner Review

0 565

It wouldn’t be unfair to call the Jaguar I-Pace EV400 a weekend toy. With a staggering price tag and luxurious features, it caters to a certain Pakistani mindset only. However, globally, Jaguar has been a brand famous for making performance cars for 85 years. The Jaguar I-Pace crossover was first launched in 2018 and received a facelift in 2021 with a bolder fascia and upgraded features.

Purchase Decision

Ahmed is the first of the first owners of the I-Pace EV 400 in Pakistan. Previously, he had experienced several high-end cars, including Audi, Mercedes, Land Cruiser, Nissan, and BMW. But when buying an EV, he was steadfast in buying a Jaguar for its incredible mileage and unmatching specifications.

Battery and Mileage

This is the 2nd variant of the I-Pace EV 400 with a:

· Battery Pack: 90kWh

· Power (hp): 400 (total)

· Torque (lb-ft): 512 (total)

· 0-62mph: 4.8sec

· Top speed: 124mph

It comes with a residential charging facility that takes 20hrs to one complete charge. Whoa! That sounds like a timespan, but you have to wait to get this beast on wheels.

Jaguar I-Pace EV400

Comparing this Jaguar to the most commonly available Audi e-tron in Pakistan, it has got more bells and frills, including ADAS features:

· Lane-Assist

· Lane- Keep

· Adaptive Cruise Control

· Apple CarPlay

· Bluetooth Connectivity

· Dual-zone Climate Control

· Meridian Sound System

The biggest missing feature is the panoramic roof, and we wish it had a bigger battery pack, leading to improved mileage.

Are you an electric car lover who wishes to buy this Jaguar? Think twice, as this extravagant crossover comes in at 30 million PKR. Not only this, but you will also have to pay another 1 million for its registration.
