The 1st Generation Honda CR-Z was introduced in 2010. Honda CR-Z is a front engine front wheel drive hybrid sports car. Honda CR-Z is the 3rd Hybrid electric vehicle released by Honda after the Honda Insight and the Honda Civic Hybrid, the CR-Z is also the first in its class to feature a hybrid drivetrain in a sporty 2-door hatchback. The 1st Generation Honda CR-Z is officially rated as an Advanced Technology-Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle and it is one of the cleanest vehicles available for purchase. Production of the Honda CR-Z commenced in 2010 and Honda halted the production in 2016. Honda CR-Z is available in only 1 variant. The price of the Honda CR-Z 1st Generation is not competitive when compared to other cars in the same class.

The exterior of the 1st Generation Honda CR-Z (2010-2016)  features a unique design language. The front end houses sharp trapezium styled side swept LED headlights, a large trapezium grille and standard circular fog lights. The rear end houses triangular side swept taillights and a standard case hatchback. The overall exterior of the 1st Generation Honda CR-Z features a fairly unique design language that is still recognizable as a Honda and allows itself to set itself apart from its rivals.
