Porsche Pakistan has further widened their model line-up with the inclusion of a new 2.0-liter option for the 2017 Porsche Macan Turbo. As a launching offer, Porsche will be offering a minimum special price limited to first five models of the new PKR 15,500,000 for the basic 2.0-liter Porsche Macan package.
Under the hood, Macan R4 Turbo has a new 2.0-liter turbo which produces 252BHP along with 370Nm of torque. New Macan also comes standard with a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission. All of that contributing towards an impressive 0 to 100 time of fewer than 6.5 seconds which makes it 0.2 seconds faster than its predecessor. Moreover, features offered by the basic package of 2.0-liter 2017 Macan Turbo are as follows:
At a promotional price tag of PKR 1.55 crore, new Macan Turbo is strategically placed to compete directly with the Audi Q7, which is currently available for PKR 15,550,000. We are currently awaiting Porsche Pakistan’s response on the price of the new Macan turbo after the promotional first five cars are sold out as well as the new price of the 2.4-liter version of the Porsche Macan Turbo.
Porsche is one step ahead from cousin Audi. Cost wise it can be placed next to Q7 in Pakistan but both are different. Q7 is full size SUV while Macan is entry level cross-over. They dont compete against each other . Macan is expensive because Porsche products are already expensive than Audi. Macan somewhat goes along Q5.
I agree with you bhai. But dont you think its a bit too overpriced i mean like the audi q7 is a great car with good offroad capabilities and can seat upto 7 peole. If someone imports one by himself wouldn’t that route be cheaper?

Actually Porsche is in a different league no comparison with Q7 only comparable thing is price. Q7 is hybrid and family SUV. Rather Macan is a performance SUV.
I think its a good move considering so much Cruisers and Prados on our roads and they are expensive too when imported.

OTOH the English in the brochure is worse than the English normally found in PW blog. The paragraph under “Introducing new Macan R4” is completely nonsensical. It is devoid of sentence structure and grammar. In the footer, it is written “Errors and Emissions expected”. Hahahah. Would anyone want to buy from some company which cannot even present a quality brochure? The dealers are selling a 15 mn PKR niche car, surely they are not operating on shoestring budget, they cannot get someone to proofread their brochure? Does R4 mean Ridiculous times 4?

How does the Macan compete with the Q7? The Macan (shares platform for Q5) is a compact crossover, the Q7 (shares platform with Cayene) is a full size crossover.
