A separate service station near my old house in gulshan e Iqbal block 6. They offer a variety of services, undercoating, interior detail, polishing (with the actual buffer thingy) just to name a few. I got a regular service that most service stations offer, for 700 -/rs and 300 -/rs for a wax ( I always opt for a wax after a wash to avoid dehydrating the paint) as well as an additional 500 -/rs for a chemical spray that eats away at grease/oil build-up under the hood and under the car. It cleaned up the firewall and exhaust manifold really well. As well as the thing that holds the clutch.
I painted the air cleaner and miscellaneous metal around the engine, like the cowl and around the sticker on the bottom right side myself. I gave the air cleaner several heavy coats and finished off with lacquer. In retro spect I should've also painted the nut that screws on top of the air cleaner, silver. I reset the wipers to original position, made sure the rested on the black border of the windshield as they should. (they were resting displeasingly high) and switched from the silicone type to the old metal and rubber types (solely for aesthetics). Speaking of which, I want to change that rusted jubilee clip on the top radiator hose with a silver spring clip, but I cannot find one for the life of me. I think the engine bay is very close to perfect, all that's left now is the ac line going over the exhaust manifold, I need to put that back where it should be and get factory type corrugated silver insulation for them. What do you think? How close am I to making this look as stock and factory and unmolested as possible?
