BOY you made me post ..
-
some 6 years back i sold away an industrial property in Karachi [ SITE ] - K-electric connection was dismantled 180 days before proceedings [ 50KV self financed PMT is still with me ] and 4 phone lines & 1 DSL connection disconnected 270 days before property was sold and transferred.
April 2017 after structure was completed new owner applied for phone lines and self financed 200 KV load.
1st electric gave him a notice of DEFAULT Clearance as Property is flaggeed - Amount is 1100000 worth as arrears.
2nd PTCL sent a notice for Arrears - approx 72000 for 4+1 telephone / DSL line
Owner called me up , we both 1st went to K-electric showed them copies of correspondence documents stamped received and sent to us confirming connection is no longer active and consumer number is deactivated. I also had 4 minute video clip of K-electric team dismantling connection with name & faces of their supervisors, their KE ID CARDS., and document exchange, across the table comfortable discussion on day of dismantling the PMT / HT cables.
The Assistance Director tried to locate the FILE which was some where displaced (not misplaced) and asked us to provide copies. We declined to submit copies, and said let us meet in court so you prove that arrears exist., if you win we pay arrears and when you lose we will claim 3 times the amount of your claim on us.
from there we went to PTCL office met the accounts officer showed him notice the date numbers and copies of documentation he accessed the online system and very softly said it is mistake from PTCL side, please have seat. He gave my friend a NEW Free Wifi 4Ji device with 90 days free usage, and asked him to register against his cnic after 90 days. - 6 new phone lines and a 4MB DSL is activated in 2 days.
For K-electric The director & assistant director ( new connections ) visited the location twice and instead of PMT + 2.8 million estimate for cable meter etc self finance connection., we provided only PMT and rest of stuff K-Electric provided FOC .. to stay away from court !
to deal with such idiots you need to be an idiot too
