Is the 2014 Liana RXi worth upgrading from the 2012 Suzuki Swift DLX? We might consider a car with trunk/diggy and more room space, which should be more than the Swift that we owned for nearly eight years, and it has been a good car.
Some of my concerns would be, despite the last model year, would it be risky to buy that is nearly nine years old, especially in Karachi? We might look for showroom condition from Suzuki's certified cars, yet I have no experience with them.
Since Liana was introduced nearly five years before Swift, would it be an issue finding parts?
I have been hearing some issues for a long time relating to the engine wiring and cracked dashboards which I think Suzuki has fixed after a Vurv facelift. There might be other issues with which I'm not familiar.
Some features are missing, like fog lamps and alloy rims which we never found necessary. However, the ABS seems missing, which can be concerning, but we had ABS issues with Swift.
Although both share the same engine and transmission, Liana might be heavier in fuel but should not be underpowered.
It is not urgent, but we might think about it in the next three to six months, or perhaps we should be happy and stick with Swift.
