Hi Guys dropping my few cents here, We had a Cuore 2002 CX Eco which we had for almost 13 14 years, It was poorly maintained by us tbh as oil changes and other maintance was always delayed (My father had to feed a family of 6 obviously was not one of the best maintained cars) but it worked great , had a broken butterly spring and we were just using a wire to keep it in place. Anyways fast forward 2023 Our Father is no more with us but His Loyal Cuore(He used to call it Khawaja ki Dewani even had a sticker of it on rear windshield) still remained, I didn't have the heart to sell it, me being a remote worker and working weird hours where I usually go out during the night couldn't use it as a daily driver in its condition either so I thought why not do a project on it and Ended up building it back up from scratch, dent, paint, new Wiring, 660 cc Mira engine with 3 speed auto gear box. Took two months to get it in workable condition (obviously there were a few minor things left, even a few today but that is just how it is with projects on a budget) and I was expecting a few changes because on paper Cuore weighs less than Mira, Miras engine weighs less than Cuores, More HP and Torque at a smaller size thought at least I'd get the milage it was giving me before (usually got 15 - 18 locally and 21(not exaggerating my mechanic setup the carburetor mixtures pretty good) on motorway drove a few times before the project) anyways car was done and in working condition on the 28th of ramadan got its alignment and wheel balancing done (got new tires 165/70/12 (old tyres had the same size as well)). drove it around 520 KM in the eid days and Still had some petrol left (my tank is chipped from the bottom so stores around 25 litres thanks to the exhaust drum which used to bump down on breaks and stuff and bumped into the tank (got it replaced with a small cultus drum), anyways was getting average of around 22 23 after the project, then got AC fitted (our car didn't have any AC equipment, Got Compressor of Duet on recommendations of my friend the Mechanic and its freaking amazing, really light load on engine when AC is running the cooling is really great, I drove to faisalabad and back on the last weekend of May it was pretty hot Didn't switch off AC aside from when I was coming back at Salt range), drove at around 85-90, a little bit of 95-100, mostly at 87ish it can go faster but the RPM would be insane and Fuel average would drop a lot anyways got to FSD and got it auto full (auto full before leaving for fsd) and 18 litres and the journey on the odometer was 345 so average was 19 ish and I was happy but the average was little lower(18.2) in the return journey cuz the Salt Range Climb was pretty rough and High Rev of L and 2 Got me to the top. Just wanted to share my experience here cuz I read pakwheels forum every other day and wanted to share my story, Happy to Answer any questions and Thanks to everyone for all the awesome posts which helps a lot when it comes to cars
Forgot to add a few features I got setup
EPS, Central Locking + A steel Mate security system and had my electrician wire the security system with the ECU to work as a Psuedo Immobilizer , still thinking about power windows and getting them setup with Security system as well Still have the spare boot button on remote not using and thinking of setting it up with power windows and using it to auto close windows
